A cooperative business structure makes sense for CGWC because it both suits our financial needs and meets our business values.  Cooperatives put people and the environment at the heart of their business.  They follow a broader set of values then those associated purely with making a profit.

A cooperative  is an autonomous association of people united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly owned and democratically controlled enterprise.

Cooperatives are based on the values of self-help, democracy, equality, equity, and solidarity.  Co op members believe in the ethical values of honesty, openness, social responsibility, and caring for others and the environment.
